Hobart Strength Training is a private strength and rehabilitation facility located in Sandy Bay, specialising in barbell-based strength training. Our philosophy is that strength training is beneficial for individuals of all ages and experience levels. We take an evidence-based approach to strength training, offering customised programs through one-on-one and small group training sessions. As a close-knit team of dedicated professionals, we are seeking a candidate who is eager to join us and grow with our organisation.

Responsibilities:

Conduct Coaching Sessions:

  • Plan and execute training sessions for HST clients assigned to the Coach.
  • One-on-one sessions are one hour in duration and scheduled according to client availability.
  • Small group coaching sessions are also one hour long and follow a predetermined timetable.

Manage Coaching Roles Beyond Sessions:

  • Develop individualised training plans for clients and maintain regular communication using the client management services (Truecoach) provided by HST.
  • This may include tracking client progress, addressing injuries or goals, and collaborating with other professionals such as fellow coaches, physiotherapists, and doctors.

Drive Service Improvement Projects:

  • Initiate and lead projects aimed at enhancing the quality of services provided to clients and strengthening and expanding the HST brand.

Qualifications:

Minimum: Certificate III and IV in Fitness

Desired: Relevant tertiary qualification and professional membership, e.g., Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP), Physiotherapist, Strength and Conditioning Coach, etc.

Work Experience & Skills:

Essential Experience:

  • Demonstrated coaching experience
  • Proficiency in strength training with barbells and experience with structured training programs
