Sports Club Assistant Manager - Hamilton Island Sports Club

An opportunity now exists for an experienced and qualified ASSISTANT MANAGER to join us on beautiful Hamilton Island.

Our modern and well-equipped Sports Club offers a range of equipment including free weights, treadmills, cross trainers, bikes, rowers, and more. Complimenting this is a variety of group fitness and yoga classes, two spas, three tennis courts, a multipurpose court, and an 18-hole minigolf.

Your Role

The Assistant Manager will work alongside the Manager in successfully overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Sports Club. 

You will also:

• Supervise, assist, mentor, and train our team of energetic attendants. 
• You will lead our fitness classes including freestyle high-intensity group classes; boxing, circuit, high-intensity interval classes; and then slow the pace down with a yoga/stretch class.  
• You will also assist in greeting and checking our guests and taking bookings for our Sports Club facilities including the outdoor multi-use courts, mini golf centre, sauna, and spa area as well as all of the gym equipment as well as keep them hygienic and well presented.

You will also have:

• School Certificate or equivalent (Essential)
• Certificate III and IV in Fitness (Essential)
• Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR (Essential)
• Previous Supervisor/Management experience in a similar position (Essential)
• Qualified Yoga instructor (Highly desirable)
• High level of personal fitness and energy
• Excellent presentation and strong interpersonal skills

Salary: $65-70k per annum.
