As the Head Coach, you will work alongside our Studio Owners to build a thriving community and a fun, inclusive culture among the team. You will be the go-to person on the floor, ensuring the successful delivery of the 8-week progressive program. Day-to-day, this role involves delivering our BFT programs, so you must be able to clearly and confidently manage large, dynamic groups while also providing individual attention to members during each session. Your knowledge of exercises, training formats, progressions, and regressions must be second to none.

Head Coach - 30 hours pw

Casual - 15 hours pw

Program Delivery / Gym Set up

  • Complete session introductions (“Talk Time”) to BFT standards, with reference to program focus, and BFT3 Heart Rate requirements
  • Review weekly program ahead and provide insights to the team
  • 1x1 coaching for staff on technic and form 
  • Maintain a high focus on member technique and exercise corrections, including regressions and appropriate progressions each session
  • Greet and mark attendance for all clients each session, assisting the other Coaches and the Studio Owners in creating a sense of community 
  • Encouraging specific pathways for clients to achieve their fitness goals, achieved through 1:1 coaching chats, EVOLT scan knowledge, and basic nutritional advice
  • Maintain studio hygiene and cleanliness whilst on shift. Includes; equipment, reception area, studio floor, bathrooms, and bins
  • Run 8 week challenges with the studio manager
  • Set up/pack down classes to BFT standards, when required 

Sales

  • Management of trial clients, converting these clients to members
  • Increase membership retention (i.e. recognizing high-risk members and increasing their attention in class sessions)
  • Collaborate with owners on sales incentives/specific drives to encourage increased leads throughout the year
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of community events, sales drives, pop-up events, in-studio competitions, and member engagement ideas each year

Studio Administration / Coordination 

  • Assisting in coordinating BFT Challenges (3x per year) 
  • Completing daily administration tasks
  • Driving community within the studio (includes; celebrating member milestones, assisting with Instagram content, and developing current and new engagement procedures)

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certificate IV in Fitness
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
  • Strength and Conditioning Certificate (Desirable)
  • Exercise and Sports Science Degree / Exercise Physiology Degree (Desirable)
  • Group Training and/or Personal Training Experience
  • Customer Service and Member Engagements Skills
  • Sales Experience (Desirable) 
  • Availability to work early mornings and evenings, Monday ? Saturday (must be able to work Saturdays regularly)
