Education needs are changing, so FITREC has created a validation process for courses looking for industry validation.
The national standard that we know as 'Certificate III / IV in Fitness' courses are a relatively new expectation for the fitness industry. Many of the professionals we know as current industry leaders did not rise through this certificate standard.
While these qualifications provide a respected achievement, there is an increasing need for learning opportunities that better meet the needs of our fitness industry. In particular, for those looking to take their first small steps as a fitness professional.
If you're interested in delivering a qualification and would like industry validation via FITREC, the following stages outline the process;
VALIDATION PROCESS
Stage One
- Submission of a complete list of topics covered with insight as to the information/experience delivered in each topic
- Submission of a statement of course outcomes for those taking part
- A FITREC profile for the business that includes a profile for each staff member presenting the course
- A FITREC profile for the course - This will include a list of summary of topics included
- Submitted material will also be reviewed by leading industry professionals chosen by FITREC
Stage Two
- Within an agreed period, the course must have seven or more ratings and reviews from participating FITREC professionals
- Within an agreed period, the course must have two or more ratings and reviews from fitness employers
BENEFITS

FEES
- Initial set up (includes a course profile on FITREC) and assessment of submitted material - $1200 per course (one-off fee)
- Business registration is required (includes two professional registrations for your presenters) - $312 per annum
- Additional professional profiles for presenters - $120 each per annum
- Validation renewal is $99 per annum
