    About Us

At Hawthorn BFT we are building one of the most inclusive, structured and professionally run training environments in the industry.
Our members are high-functioning and don't need more "hype". They need structure, accountability and coaching that actually sees them. We help them stop starting over and build a consistent training rhythm that supports their life, not competes with it.
We are mission-led, systems-driven and culture-focused. We believe in strength over aesthetics, longevity over burnout and belonging over ego.
We are growing and we are looking for the right coach to grow with us.

    The Role

We are seeking a Casual Coach (initially) to join our team, with weekly shifts available across mornings, evenings and weekends.

This role is ideal for a coach who:

    • Takes pride in delivering high-quality group training

    • Genuinely cares about the member experience

    • Wants mentorship and long-term development

    • Is open to feedback and committed to improving their craft

    You will be responsible for:

    • Delivering structured BFT sessions to a high standard

    • Coaching with clarity, energy and intent

    • Managing the room confidently and professionally

    • Building genuine relationships with members

    • Creating a safe and inclusive training environment

    • Supporting member retention through connection and accountability

Our standard is simple: no one stands around supervising. Everyone is coached.

    About You

You are more than a rep counter.
You understand that great coaching is about reading the room, knowing your members and balancing encouragement with technical precision.

    You likely:

    • Hold Cert III and IV in Fitness

    • Have current First Aid and CPR

    • Have experience in group training or team-based environments

    • Have a strong personal training background

    • Value structure, professionalism and high standards

    • Want to build a real career in fitness, not just pick up shifts

You are comfortable receiving feedback and using it to improve. You are reliable, punctual and bring positive energy without ego.
Cultural alignment matters here. We are collaborative, accountable and all in.

    Growth and Development

This role is casual to start.
For the right person, there is a clear pathway into:

    • Senior coaching responsibilities

    • Head Coach or leadership opportunities

We are intentionally building long-term careers within our studio. Clear roles, structured 1:1 development and ongoing mentorship are part of how we operate.

If you demonstrate consistency, leadership and a commitment to excellence, progression is real.

    Why Join BFT Hawthorn

    • Strong member base with high engagement and retention

    • Professional systems and leadership structure

    • Supportive, team-oriented culture

    • Ongoing mentoring and performance feedback

    • Opportunity to be part of a studio redefining inclusive fitness in Melbourne

We are building something bigger than sessions on a timetable. We are building a benchmark for what a modern, inclusive and high-performing gym can look like.
