Studio Manager - BFT Prahran

BFT Prahran is looking for an experienced, people-first leader to step into the role of Studio Manager at BFT’s first-ever studio.

This is a key leadership role within the business and an opportunity to take ownership of one of our longest-standing and most established communities.

As Studio Manager, you’ll be one of the main faces of BFT Prahran and play a major role in the day-to-day running, growth, culture and overall member experience of the studio.

You’ll work closely with our Head Coach, coaching team and owners to make sure the studio is operating at a high standard across everything from member engagement and retention to sales, team leadership and daily operations.

THE ROLE

This is a hands-on position for someone who loves people, enjoys leading a team and takes pride in creating an environment members genuinely want to be part of.

You’ll be responsible for helping drive the growth of the studio while making sure our existing members continue to feel known, valued and looked after.

On any given day, you could be:

• Welcoming new members and guiding them through their first experience at BFT

• Following up trials, leads and membership enquiries

• Building genuine relationships with members and helping improve retention

• Leading and supporting the coaching team alongside the Head Coach

• Maintaining high standards across presentation, service and studio operations

• Managing day-to-day administration and membership queries

• Helping organise studio events, challenges and community initiatives

• Working closely with the owners on studio performance, growth and future opportunities

• Creating a positive, energetic and accountable team culture

• Being present in the studio and leading from the front

This role is about much more than administration.

We want someone who understands that a great gym is built through relationships, consistency, energy and attention to detail.

THE MUST-HAVES

• Demonstrated experience leading people or teams

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Experience in sales, customer service, fitness, hospitality or a similar people-focused environment

• Confidence having conversations around sales, retention and member experience

• Strong organisation and attention to detail

• The ability to take ownership and solve problems

• A positive, reliable and team-first attitude

• A genuine interest in health, fitness and helping people

Previous experience within the fitness industry is highly regarded, but for the right person, leadership ability, personality and cultural fit are just as important.

We’re looking for someone who naturally connects with people.

Someone who remembers names, notices when a member hasn’t been in for a while, follows things up and genuinely cares about the experience people have inside the studio.

You’ll be comfortable holding yourself and others accountable, having honest conversations when needed and setting a strong standard for the wider team.

You don’t need to be the loudest person in the room, but you do need to be present, self-aware, consistent and willing to lead from the front.
