The Role

We are looking for a confident, motivated and reliable Assistant Club Manager to join our team on a casual basis.

This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety. You’ll work closely with the Club Manager and be involved in the day-to-day running of the club, with a strong focus on sales, lead follow-up, customer service, member engagement and club presentation.

You’ll need to be someone who is happy to get involved in all aspects of the role. Some days will involve sales calls and following up leads, while others may involve administration, creating social media content, helping members or cleaning and maintaining the gym.

While this is a casual position, we are specifically looking for someone who wants to commit to the role for the long term. We want to invest in the right person and help them develop within the business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Following up new leads through phone calls, SMS and other communication

• Conducting gym tours and confidently presenting our membership options

• Converting leads into new members and working towards sales targets

• Providing outstanding customer service and building strong relationships with members

• Being a friendly, professional and welcoming face of the club

• Creating content for Instagram, Facebook and other social media platforms

• Appearing in videos and photos to promote the club

• Filming, editing and publishing social media content

• Helping grow the club’s online presence and generate new leads

• Completing general administration and membership tasks

• Keeping the gym clean, organised and presentable

• Helping maintain equipment and the overall standard of the facility

• Supporting the Club Manager with day-to-day club operations

• Assisting with member retention and engagement

• Working as part of a team and contributing wherever needed

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum Certificate III in Fitness

• Certificate IV in Fitness is highly regarded

• Current First Aid & CPR

• Working With Children Check

• Police Check

• Previous sales, customer service, fitness or gym experience is highly regarded

Hours

This is a casual position with regular shifts:

• Monday: 10:30am–7:30pm

• Tuesday: 2:30pm–7:30pm

• Wednesday: 2:30pm–7:30pm

There may also be an opportunity to take on Saturday shifts from 11:00am–4:00pm as the role develops. Flexibility to take on additional hours in the future is highly regarded.
