We have an exciting opening for a head yoga instructor.

We are a new training centre in Alexandria, located only a 7-minute walk away from Green Square train station.

Our yoga classes will be mainly run under heated infrared panels at 32 degrees.

Remunerations

• $80-$100 p.h to teach the classes
• $35-$45 p.h allowance for administrative and none-teaching activities
• Additional incentives and benefits based on number of attending students.

Duties

As the head instructor you’ll be responsible for running the yoga program. Your duties will include:

• Teaching classes
• Ensuring classes are run at an appropriate level of difficulty for the audience
• Making sure classes are not acrobatic demonstration and instead are focused on students’ growth and engagement
• Mentoring and supporting other instructors
• Working with other instructors to create, implement and revise the curriculum
• Participate in the business side of things in matters such as class timetable, class structure, general direction of the yoga program as well as hiring other instructors

Qualifications and Skills

In addition to your 200 hour yoga alliance certifications we expect to see substantial development in different areas.

There is no set number of years of experience that we require as we believe the number of years of experience on their own is a very poor metric of one’s competencies; however we still expect that you’d have at least a couple of years of experience in running classes and managing programs.

Hours

Initially the classes will be running in evenings from around 17:00 - 20:00. We expect to start running lunchtime and morning classes soon after.
