FITSTOP NEWCASTLE MANAGER - POSITION DESCRIPTION.
The Fitstop Newcastle team is the key to our success, they are the face of our business and play an integral part in creating an exceptional community. Working closely with the Fitstop Newcastle co-owners, coaches and our members, your key responsibility will be to drive and motivate location performance, you will have a strong focus on member growth and retention by building and maintaining relationships with members and the local community. In turn, you will receive workplace flexibility and continuous personal and professional development to advance your career progression.
Role Aim, Purpose & Values:
As the Fitstop Newcastle Manager, your position requires you to be responsible for the financial and operational performance of Fitstop Newcastle. The purpose of a Location Manager is to ignite people’s passion to play a bigger game so that through our community, we can create a positive impact on others. Fitstop Location Managers lead with love, execute with intent, they play to win but always finish together, they are always learning & always teaching, they use each interaction as an opportunity to make an impact and they create a community that is stronger together.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide exceptional customer service to Fitstop members, prospects and suppliers
- Demonstrate your professional knowledge in each and every session
- Guide and mentor Fitstop members and prospects to reach their full potential
- Lead each and every session as per the Fitstop perfect session standards
- Set up the layout of each session in accordance with the Fitstop session template documents
- Consistently familiarise yourself with the Fitstop Product Manual
- Ensure cleanliness and presentation of the Fitstop gym is of the highest standard
- Review the Fitstop programming blocks in advance and always follow the programming
- Hold members accountable to the Fitstop Challenge
- Drive performance for Fitstop campaigns
- Play an active role in engaging new Fitstop members and retaining our existing ones
- Attend Fitstop team meetings and member events
- Engage with social media posting across Fitstop socials
- Commit to ongoing training and development
- Team rostering to support the location timetable and other responsibilities
- Work with the co-owners to ensure a professional, profitable and successful business with continued growth
Workplace Health and Safety:
- Comply with and promote OH&S policies and procedures and advise your Owner or State Manager of all potential risks and hazards
- To have 100% compliance of Incident Reporting and Hazard and Risk Reporting
- To have 100% compliance of new team members to be provided with OH&S Induction within one week of commencing employment
- To ensure compliance information for all team members is up to date
- To ensure behaviour and communication is always professional and respectful to team members, members, partners and clients.
Your People
- Recruit Trainers to join your team - based on their positive attitude, energy & alignment to our Fitstop values
- Coach, mentor and train all team members in the Fitstop policies, procedures, standards, as well as support their professional development and goals
- Provide regular communication and feedback on your team’s performance
- Have fun, share wins and ensure you have a positive & supportive culture in your location
- Attend regular meetings with the State Operations team to go through your location performance, training and development areas for improvement of the location.
Your Members
- 10/10 Experience, every member, every Interaction, every session, every time!
- Ensure all new members complete a thorough onboarding & induction to ensure they feel safe and secure whilst also building a strong relationship with them
- Communicate with your members through different mediums - social media, member engagement calls and face-to-face in-location
- Ensure you demonstrate ‘Good Profit’ when engaging in Local Area Marketing (LAM) and representing your location and the Fitstop brand, this includes when utilising social media campaigns to engage prospective members.
Your Brilliant Basics
- Utilise Fitstop tools, resources, systems and policies to successfully perform in your role (I.E. Fitstop Dashboard, Gym Sales, Digital Stack, IPG Portal, Operations Manual & Locations G-Drive)
- Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly tasks and checklists are completed with a high attention to detail
- Ensure your location is clean, compliant & well-presented at all times
- Ensure equipment is functional, maintained, regularly serviced and repaired as needed
- Ensure you have a safe and secure location, following all OH&S requirements
- Strive to increase membership net growth, increase gross revenue and commit to other monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) as set by the owners
- Continue to seek strategies to improve location performance.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in managing a fitness facility with exceptional customer service and sales skills
- Certificate III and IV in Fitness
- Previous experience in personal training, preferably group training (preferred but not essential)
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Experience with managing social platforms and community management
- Flexibility and willingness to step outside the bounds of the role
- Creativity, drive and initiative
- Highly motivated and have a passion to succeed
- Work well as part of a team
- High level of integrity.
